Do you suffer from somnipathy (sleep disorders)? If so, you should come to us at medizinplus. We specialise in identifying and treating the following types of sleep disorders:

  • Insomnia (difficulty falling asleep and sleeping through)
  • Hypersomnia (need to sleep more)
  • Parasomnia (e.g. sleepwalking, nightmares, panic attacks at night)
  • Sleeping-waking rhythm disorders (shift work, jet-lag)
  • Sleep disorders due to other illnesses
  • Narcolepsy
  • Restless legs syndrome.

What happens in the sleep consultation?
If you come to us, we will go through your sleep history in detail and give you exhaustive advice on sleep hygiene.

You will be handed out sleep records for you to complete at home. These sleep records provide us with the best information on your sleep pattern. After that you will start to alter your sleep pattern gradually but successfully under skilled management.

Special diagnostics
With certain disorders we record your sleep (by polysomnograph) at night. If you have other sleep disorders we give you an aktometer (a small device to analyse your sleep) to attach to your wrist.

The treatment we offer
We offer you comprehensive sleep pattern treatment in either individual or group therapy. This therapy involves the use of the following sleep pattern therapy techniques:

  • Stimulus monitoring
  • Sleep restriction
  • Insomnia group

We treat sleep disorders requiring medication on an ad hoc basis, focusing on particularly gentle and sparing treatment with sleep-inducing substances.

Who are we and how can you contact us?
As well as possessing the specialist qualification we are also specialised in identifying sleep disorders and in the underlying diseases (proof of ‘Somnology’ qualification and EEC Certificate).
